The Best Concert Ever: Chancho en Piedra

Hi everyone!

In 2018 I went with a friend to see the last concert of Chancho en Piedra with its original formation, it was in Santiago during the Lollapalooza Festival. On account of the fact that Pablo Ilabaca (guitarist) would leave the band, they planned their farewell playing the album "La Dieta del Lagarto", which in my opinion is the best of the band without a doubt.

As soon as Chancho en Piedra, it is a Chilean funk-rock band made up of 4 members: Lalo Ibeas (vocalist), Felipe Ilabaca (Bass), Leonardo Corvalán (drums) and Cristián Moraga (replacing Pablo on guitar). Apart from this, the band has a musical trajectory of more than 25 years, with a fairly broad discography, which positions the band as one of the most important at the national level.

The atmosphere at the concert was awesome because there were a lot of people around singing and jumping all the songs of the album, which made me very happy for the fervor and affection that was expressed towards a very underrated Chilean band. In other words, it was thrilling.  Besides, my favorite moment of the concert was when they played "Da la Claridad a Nuestro Sol" and "Edén”.

My favorite movie: The Usual Suspects

Hi everyone, today I will talk about one of my favorite movies: The Usual Suspects (1995) directed by Bryan Singer. This film is a criminal thriller that deals with an agent's investigation into the causes of a fire in a port and his only witness is Roger Kint, a swindler who survived the fire (I won't say anything else because "spoiler alert" haha). I love this movie because the script is just great, as it tells a very original story with a mind-blowing ending. Furthermore, the cast with Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne and Benicio del Toro takes the film to another level. As for the type of movies that I like to see, I am always open to see any type of film genre, however my kind of films are the mafia movies like the Godfather or Goodfellas, war movies like Saving Private Ryan or Apocalypse Now and finally, action movies like Mission Impossible. On top of that, the most recent movie I saw is The Insider (1999) and I recommend it because it shows a fictional account ...

TV Shows and Series

Hi everyone, today I’m going to talk about one of my favorite series: Better Call Saul. Better Call Saul is an American TV series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. The story is a prequel located six years before the events of Breaking Bad and tells the story of Jimmy McGill and his progressive transformation into “Saul Goodman”, a criminal lawyer with many skills to solve “legal matters” and negotiate good deals for his clients. I love this series because their history is amazing. The script is divided in two story arcs, the first shows the unknow life of Jimmy McGill, his family and friend relationships. While the second arc shows his criminal side and how he entered in this world, where the appearances of Mike Erhmauntraut, Gus Fring and Nacho Varga are highlighted. Visually is not much to say, because it is perfect and follows the same cinematographic line of Breaking Bad. If you saw Breaking Bad, I recommend it immediately because it has the same level of quality and...
